"Innovating cites as the engines of economic and social development"

Jaime Lerner is a Brazilian architect and urban planner, who stands out thanks to his urban planning work in his home town of Curitiba, of which he was mayor three times. Amongst other achievements, his innovative ideas led to Curitiba being considered in 2002 one of the five most modern cities of the world.
