Technology watch

Technology watch is a natural accompaniment to foresight. According the commonly accepted definition, technology watch consists of an:

"organised and structured system for the searching, detection and analysis of the environment, aimed at disseminating and transmitting information and knowledge in a continuous manner, at the required time, so that the target group can be made aware of the main activities in their sector, within the technology field".

In collaboration with the Spanish Patent and Trade Mark Office (SPTO), OPTI supplies regular technology watch services in various sectors. Similarly, an agreement is in place between OPTI and the Spanish Ministry for the Sea for the development of new technology watch activities.

Furthermore, wide-ranging projects for the planning and launching of technology watch systems have been carried out, adapted to the needs of the various entities that have requested them.
